Lock the hours to prevent changes that bypass HR and payroll
Today’s release includes a small new feature that will really help some of our larger clients. Most hours in SYNCrew are added by workers with their app and then never modified. Sometimes, however, a manager needs to make edits and they can do that through the SYNCrew admin portal. Until this release, any admin could make changes anytime in the future.
For a large company, an admin may not know when payroll checks are made and accidentally make an edit too late! To fix this, we added a simple lock so that people will know that the payroll is closed. Full Admin can lock or unlock the pay period but will get a reminder that it’s locked so they don’t do so automatically. Meanwhile, Limited Admin cannot edit hours in a locked pay period.
The release also includes some other small features related to options to configure Limited Admin accounts.
